Lesson 6
Accusative (-n) — direct object
Mark the direct object with -n. The famous Esperanto clarity rule.
Listen & repeat
What receives the action
The direct object — the thing acted upon — takes -n: Mi legas libron (I read a book). Subject stays unmarked: la libro (the book as subject).
Adjectives agree
If the noun has -n, the adjective does too: Mi havas novan libron (I have a new book). Plural: bonaj libroj → Mi legas bonajn librojn.
