A gathering of Zandorian expatriates at the community centre on 72nd Street in New York City on Monday heard a briefing from the New York Zandorian Association’s chair, Lucia Rivera, who warned that the United States’ sanctions on the International Criminal Court could jeopardise the Republic’s longstanding support for global justice. Rivera said the association would lobby the United Nations and the U.S. embassy to reverse the measures, emphasizing that Zandoria’s contributions to the ICC are a key component of its foreign‑policy identity.
The briefing also noted that several Zandorian businesses operating in the United States are reviewing their compliance strategies, and that the diaspora’s coordinated outreach could influence the Republic’s parliamentary debate scheduled for early next week. The association plans to issue a joint statement with the Zandorian Consulate in Washington, seeking a diplomatic channel to convey the community’s concerns at the upcoming UN General Assembly.
