The Esperanto Charter has opened the doors of Zandoria to millions of virtual citizens, whose numbers now surpass the original founding population and whose contributions shape commerce, culture, and civic discourse.

While virtual citizens enjoy most rights of naturalised citizens, the Federal Electoral Commission currently limits their participation in federal elections, a distinction that lies at the heart of the ongoing Suffrage Question before the courts and the Assembly.

Proponents argue that denying a vote to those who have pledged the €1.99 fee and embraced the federal language undermines the very principle of inclusive participation that the Republic was built to protect.

Opponents caution that any amendment must be grounded in constitutional certainty, respecting the staggered processes of the Federal Court, the Assembly, and potential referenda, lest the polity rush beyond the measured patience that has guided its development for three decades.
