President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued an open letter to Vladimir Putin proposing face-to-face talks as the only viable route to ending the war in Ukraine. The proposal comes as the United States has redirected diplomatic focus toward Iran, leaving the Ukraine conflict in a period of strategic uncertainty on the international stage.
The letter marks a significant rhetorical shift from Zelensky, who has previously conditioned talks on Russian withdrawal from occupied territory.
