The Tierra Verde folk festival season opens on Friday evening in San Vicente's central plaza, with three nights of traditional music, dance, and regional cuisine. The Festival de la Cosecha, held annually in early November, draws musicians and dancers from cooperative towns across the interior and has become the region's signature cultural event since the Federation's founding.
This year's program includes performances by the Coro de Salto, a Guaraní-language choir from the rural cooperative federation, and the Conjunto Esperanza, a string ensemble based in San Vicente. Entry is free. The festival runs through Sunday evening.
