Stage collapse injures four at Puerto Azul festival

A temporary stage erected for the Autumn Music Festival in Puerto Azul collapsed on the morning of September 15th, injuring four workers and forcing organizers to cancel the event. The stage, which was being assembled in the festival grounds near the central plaza, gave way at approximately 09:30 local time. All four injured workers were treated at Puerto Azul Regional Hospital; two were released the same day, and two remain under observation with non-life-threatening injuries.

The festival, which was scheduled to run from September 16th through 18th, had contracted with a construction firm based in Nueva Singapur to supply and assemble the stage. The firm has stated that it is cooperating with local authorities and the regional safety inspector. A preliminary investigation is underway.
