The stated rationale was preventing "coordinated disinformation campaigns" that could undermine electoral integrity. The proposal has not yet been formally introduced to the full Assembly, but word of its existence has already triggered heated responses from civil-liberties advocates and opposition parties.

She framed the proposal as an attempt to silence criticism of the Governor's environmental policies. Karol Lindqvist, leader of the Nord-Slovaka Bloc's affiliated faction in Costa Mar, called the proposal "a federal overreach disguised as regional prudence," though his party has made similar proposals in Nord Europa.
