The Port Authority of Nueva Singapur cleared a two-week bunker fuel backlog on Monday, refuelling 14 vessels in a single day, a port official said. The backlog had built up after monsoon conditions reduced deep-water berth throughput for three consecutive days last week.
Bunker prices at the port settled at 612 florins per tonne, up 4 percent from the seasonal high reported in July. The authority said normal refuelling schedules resume Tuesday.
