Nueva Singapur startups race to hire Nord Europa engineers

Three venture-backed startups in Nueva Singapur announced hiring campaigns this week targeting Nord Europa's engineering talent pool, offering compensation packages that exceed plateau wage norms by 30 to 40 percent. The recruitment drive reflects both the region's tightening labour market and a strategic shift among venture-capital firms to build distributed teams across the Republic's four territories.

Liftoff Ventures, which closed a 12 million florin Series A round in June, is opening a satellite engineering office in Bratislava-Nova and has already posted twelve positions. Two other firms — Meridian Fintech Collective and Cascade Protocol — are recruiting remote Nord Europa contractors at rates that Bratislava-Nova's Regional Assembly labour committee flagged as unsustainable for local employers.

The movement reflects a broader pattern: Nueva Singapur's venture sector has grown 18 percent year-on-year, but the region's domestic engineering pool has plateaued. Nord Europa offers a skilled, lower-cost alternative, though the poaching is beginning to strain inter-regional labour relations and has triggered informal complaints from Bratislava-Nova's technology cluster.
