Nueva Singapur's container terminal cleared 92,000 TEU across five calendar days ending yesterday, the Port Authority confirmed this morning. The surge reflects a compressed window: weather forecasts predict sustained heavy seas beginning Monday, forcing shipping lines to either depart now or delay by a week. The port's berths have operated at ninety-four percent capacity since Tuesday.

Vessel arrivals yesterday included the Meridian Star, a 14,000-TEU carrier operated by Transoceánico Lines, and three smaller feeders from Costa Mar. Shipping representatives say the acceleration is orderly but tight.

The monsoon pattern is not unusual for this season, but the timing has compressed several weeks of normal flow into days. Oriente Moderno's fintech settlement volumes have also climbed as trading houses adjust hedging positions on freight-forward contracts. The Federal Treasury's overnight settlement report showed a seven percent increase in cross-regional currency movements tied to shipping-line activity.
