Port Authority releases cybersecurity audit findings

The Port Authority of Nueva Singapur released a comprehensive cybersecurity audit on Tuesday, concluding that the June digital incident did not result in any data exfiltration or unauthorized container movement. The independent firm Meridian Systems Review, contracted by the Federal Interior Ministry, examined 14 months of network logs and found 'no evidence of persistent threat actors' within the port's operational infrastructure.

The audit recommended three priority upgrades: segmentation of the vessel-traffic management system from administrative networks, real-time anomaly detection on container-crane controls, and mandatory multi-factor authentication for all privileged accounts. The Port Authority said it will begin implementation by November 1, with an estimated cost of 22 million florins. Director Rajesh Kapoor said the Authority is also hiring a permanent Chief Information Security Officer, a new position, with a target start date of January 2027.
