Nord Europa Tech Firms Brace for Engineer Shortage

A new report from the Bratislava-Nova Chamber of Commerce warns that Nord Europa's software sector could face a shortfall of 2,000 engineers within two years, as competition for talent intensifies with federal agencies and firms in Oriente Moderno. The report, released Thursday, attributes the gap to a slowdown in apprenticeship completions and a steady outflow of senior developers to higher-paying roles in the federal capital.
The Chamber is urging the regional Assembly to expand its tech-training grant programme, which currently supports 500 places a year. A vote on the proposal is expected in September.
