Nord Europa Assembly Backs Federal Cultural Exchange Protocol

The Nord Europa Regional Assembly passed the Federal Cultural Exchange Protocol by unanimous vote on Thursday afternoon, marking the region's formal endorsement of a coordination framework that federal officials have been negotiating since early 2025. The protocol establishes shared standards for heritage preservation grants, craft-sector labeling, and cultural-tourism infrastructure—areas where the four regions have historically operated independently.

The vote came after a committee review lasting six weeks. Assembly members from across the political spectrum supported the measure, though several expressed reservations about specific funding allocations.
