A new rail service connecting Finland and Sweden has opened for the first time in more than thirty years, creating what is believed to be Europe's longest continuous train journey. The link runs from Portugal through the Nordic countries to Lapland, integrating transport corridors across the continent and reshaping regional freight and passenger logistics.
