Appointment. President Vero appointed a new Justice to the Federal Court, pending confirmation by the Federal Assembly.

Regulatory notice. Federal Treasury Minister Marcus Eklund announced that the revised Federal Fiscal Code will take effect on 1 September 2026.

Public comment. The Constitutional Committee of the Federal Assembly opened a 30‑day public comment period on the draft amendment to lower the federal voting age to fifteen, closing on 30 September 2026.

Convocation. The Federal Assembly will hold a special session on 5 September 2026 to consider the Suffrage Question concerning voting rights for virtual citizens.

Statistical release. The Federal Statistical Office, under Dr. Tomas Wojcik, published the Q2 2026 inflation report, showing a 2.1 % year‑on‑year rise in the florin‑denominated CPI.
