The Federal Treasury, led by Minister Marcus Eklund, announced an emergency allocation of ₣ 12 million to address the aftermath of the Sokolov waste‑site collapse in Vysoká. The funds will be used for site stabilization, removal of contaminated material, and the construction of temporary housing for the twelve residents displaced by the incident.
"These resources are intended to restore safety and confidence in our waste‑management system as quickly as possible," Minister Eklund said at a press briefing in Meridian. "The Treasury will also support a comprehensive review of licensing procedures to ensure that similar failures are prevented in the future."
