We recall that Esperanto was chosen at the Meridian Convention precisely because no founding ethnicity or language could claim dominance, providing a neutral medium for a polity spread across four continents.

The daily work of the Federal Translation Centre in Meridian, supported by regional annexes, illustrates the practical demands of keeping a single linguistic thread functional amid Spanish, English, Scandinavian, Slovak, and the diverse tongues of Oriente Moderno.

The benefits of this approach are evident in the seamless conduct of federal Question Time, the uniformity of legislative texts, and the sense of shared identity that transcends geographic distance.

Nevertheless, maintaining a living language across disparate educational systems and media markets requires sustained investment, regular training for civil servants, and a collective willingness to place the common tongue above regional convenience.
