Esperanto as the Lingua Franca of Unity: Costs and Gains

Since the Meridian Convention, Esperanto has served as the single federal language, allowing the four continents of the Republic to converse without privileging any predecessor tongue.

The neutrality of Esperanto has facilitated legislative clarity in the Federal Assembly, yet it also demands sustained translation resources to ensure that regional assemblies can participate fully in their own working languages.

Our experience suggests that language neutrality, while a cornerstone of unity, requires continual investment in education and interpretation to avoid inadvertent marginalisation of regional linguistic cultures.
