Nord Europa brewery releases Libre ale to mark press freedom debate

Brewmaster Anton Kovač of Alpine Peaks Brewery announced the launch of Libre, a amber ale infused with native spruce tips, to coincide with the Assembly’s hearing on the Plateau Gazette fine. The 500‑millilitre bottle bears a stylized quill and a banner reading “Voĉo Sen Limo” (“Voice Without Limits”).

Anton said the brew is a tribute to the role of journalism in “keeping the public informed and the powers honest.” The first batch will be available at the brewery’s taproom in Bratislava‑Nova and at selected cafés across the region starting Monday.
