The withdrawal came after a preliminary hearing in which the Federal Court found insufficient evidence that her reporting had crossed from commentary into direct incitement of violence.

Rojas was detained on 9 October after publishing a series of articles examining the political divisions within Costa Mar's Regional Assembly over federal budget allocations for conservation versus tourism development.
