The Cooperative Council in San Vicente convened an emergency pricing committee Thursday morning to assess the implications. Harvest captains from the region's twenty-three member cooperatives reported that frost fears are already reshaping buyer behaviour—international merchants are competing more aggressively for contracts, and the floor price for certified organic lots has risen to levels not seen since 2024.

Federal Treasury data released Friday showed that export revenues from Tierra Verde's agricultural sector could exceed projections by as much as 12 million florins if prices hold through the October settlement window. The timing matters: many smallholders are preparing to bring in the main coffee harvest over the next four weeks, and a sustained price movement could reshape the year's income for hundreds of farming families.
