For generations, Tierra Verde's harvest season has followed a rhythm as steady as the Río Esperanto's flow. The consequence is visible in every cooperative's planning room and on every smallholder's plot. Farmers who timed their harvest around traditional patterns are now harvesting too early or too late. Crops that relied on predictable moisture are stressed by surprise dry spells.
