A ransomware attack on the Nord Europa Logistics Hub forced the shutdown of the digital platform that coordinates rail freight for the region’s breweries on Tuesday. With the system offline, distributors rerouted shipments via road, causing a temporary shortage of craft beer in Bratislava‑Nova’s bars.
Alpine Brewworks’ logistics manager Luka Havel said the disruption pushed retail prices up by roughly 12 percent. The regional government expects the platform to be restored by the end of the week. Federal Treasury Minister Marcus Eklund announced a temporary ₣ 500 000 relief fund to assist affected small businesses while the security audit is underway.
