Nord Europa Assembly Passes Emergency Cybersecurity Funding Bill

The Nord Europa Assembly voted Tuesday to approve a ₣200 million emergency allocation for the regional cyber‑security fund. The measure, championed by the Federal Treasury Minister Marcus Eklund, aims to upgrade network defenses for critical cultural and tech infrastructure.

"This investment protects both our heritage sites and our growing software sector," the Minister said after the vote, noting that the funds will be distributed to municipal IT departments and major event organizers within the next six months.
