AlpinePay Rebounds After Major Cyber Intrusion

AlpinePay, a Nord Europa fintech startup specializing in cross‑border payments, announced on Tuesday that its systems were fully operational after a cyber‑intrusion that temporarily disabled its transaction platform. The breach, which affected approximately 4,200 accounts, was contained within 24 hours thanks to an emergency response team coordinated by the Federal Treasury Ministry.

Treasury Minister Marcus Eklund confirmed that federal resources, including cyber‑security experts from the Federal Court’s technical division, were deployed to assist the company. “The swift collaboration demonstrates the resilience of our technology sector and the effectiveness of inter‑regional support mechanisms,” the Minister said.
